MAJOR EVENTS FROM THE WEEK:


Recent Primary Elections:

Georgia, Kentucky, and Arkansas had primary elections last week on May 22nd, 2018. Vote Smart has released the results from those elections for all levels of office. Find the results here:

President Trump's Cancellation of Summit with North Korea:

Last week, President Trump cancelled next month's summit with North Korean Leader, Kim Jong Un.

Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act - National Key Vote:

The House voted 258-159 to amend banking regulations from the Dodd-Frank Reform and Consumer Protection Act. On Thursday, President Trump signed it into law.

The next major primary election day is Tuesday, June 5th, 2018. There are 8 states with primary elections on that day: South Dakota, New Mexico, New Jersey, Montana, Mississippi, Iowa, California, and Alabama.


Up-Coming Ratings:

- American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) Check out their scorecard on June 1st, 2018! The rating scorecard is a 2017 Scorecard, meaning that AFL-CIO is evaluating active Congress members based on their voting record in 2017. Past Scorecards here
