Highlights from the Week


1. On Wednesday the House passed the Senate-amended American Rescue Act, which establishes additional relief for the economy, public health, state and local governments, individuals, and businesses. On Thursday President Biden signed the American Rescue Act into law. 2. Last week the House passed the For the People Act, which expands voter registration and voting access, limits removing voters from voter rolls, and requires states to establish independent redistricting commissions. Click here to see how they voted.


3. Last week the House passed the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, which requires increased accountability for law enforcement misconduct, increases transparency and data collection, and prohibits discriminatory policing practices. Click here to see how they voted.
