Statements on SCOTUS:

Capital Gazette Shooting:

Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Ballot Measure Summary:

Vote Smart just released a summary of the state-wide ballot measure on medical marijuana for Oklahoma, which you can view here, along with the eleven other state-wide measures that have come up so far in 2018, and that will be on ballots in November. Congressional Passing of Farm Bill:

Last week Congress passed the Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018, or the Farm Bill, which amends funding for and regulations of the Department of Agriculture. June 26th Primary Elections:

National Ratings Released:

The John Birch Society released their scorecard!  The rating scorecard is a 2017-2018 running scorecard, meaning that the the John Birch Society is evaluating active Congress members based on their voting record in the 115th Congress. They come out with quarterly updates to this scorecard, and this is the second one of 2018.

Congressional Candidate Lists:

Vote Smart has released congressional candidate lists released for all 41 states that have released certified ballots for 2018 Primary Elections. These candidates are all found on the elections page of the website as searchable here.

Primary Election Results:

Vote Smart has released the election results for all primaries that have happened so far in 2018 races. So far that includes all levels of office for 32 states. Out of those 32 states, 6 of them are are results from this past Tuesday, June 26th. See an example of what this looks like on our website here.

Public Statements:

Vote Smart added 1,855+ statements to our its database this week! Find them all through targeted key-word searches. Some newsworthy topics include: - Supreme Court - Travel ban

Key Votes: There were two Key Votes in Congress this week. Read all about both key votes by following the bolded links below.

The first is the Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018, commonly known as the "farm bill" (mentioned above): HR 2 Summary HERE!  The second is the IMD CARE Act, which authorizes states to provide Medicaid services to patients with opioid use disorders: HR 5797.
