June 12th Primary Elections: Last week there were primary elections in Maine, Nevada, North Dakota, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Net Neutrality Regulations Rolled Back:

ELECTIONS:


National Ratings Released:

American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) released their score card. The rating scorecard is a 2017 Scorecard, meaning that AFL-CIO is evaluating active Congress members based on their voting record in 2017. Scorecard here.


Endorsements:

We have released over 10,500 endorsements for candidates so far this year. See who is really backing your candidates here.

Congressional Candidate Lists:

Vote Smart has released congressional candidate lists released for all 41 states that have released certified ballots for 2018 Primary Elections. These candidates are all found on the elections page of the website as searchable here.


Primary Election Results:

Vote Smart has released the election results for all primaries that have happened so far in 2018 races. So far that includes all levels of office for 26 states. Out of those 26 states, 5 of them are are results from this past Tuesday, June 12th. See an example of what this looks like on our website here.

Key Votes:

There were two Key Votes in Congress this week. Read all about both key votes by following the bolded links.


The first is the Spending Cuts to Expired and Unnecessary Programs Act, which rescinds $15 billion in government funding to various state agencies. 


The second bill is the Senate vote on National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which authorizes $717 billion in military spending for fiscal year 2019.
